I’m sure we can all identify with feeling like the energizer bunny - we keep going and going and going. There’s something about going and going that makes us feel purposeful. But are we really being purposeful or are we just another rat in the rat race?

Everyday that we wake up with life is always a blessing; but there are some days you feel extra blessed. On this particular day, I received two unexpected blessings that really made my day and still bring a smile.

Being free is a state of mind.

I love sitting by the ocean. I love the sound of the waves hitting against the sand and rolling back into the sea — it brings a feeling of calm and peace. As I look out, as far as my eyes can see, I see no end in sight. I think to myself, it’s the same with life — the possibilities are endless.

I recently watched a video of the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, and it gave me goosebumps. Made me think about the fact that God made all of us unique and special. There is no one else like you or will be like you in this world.

There's a saying: "There's no place like home". I've come to prove this to be true, however I've come to realize that home is not just a place, but a mindset.

Its important to spend time in daily reflection, but there’s something about the end of the year that serves as a catalyst for deeper reflection. You assess where you are currently compared to where you started at the beginning of the year and you are able to gain a better view of the trajectory of your life.
